Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo launches
Fri, 14 Jan 2011Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo When the press release came in for the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo, we were a bit surprised to learn that Skoda has been playing in Motorsport for 110 years. We knew they had a noble history before communism relegated them to skip-on-wheels status, but we’re ashamed to confess we knew nothing of their early Motorsport history. Koenigsegg Agera & Agera R 2012 updates
Fri, 02 Mar 2012The Agera & Agera R get a raft of tweaks for 2012 Koenigsegg has revealed improvements to the Agera and Agera R for 2012, which will debut at Geneva next week. We’re not sure just how many Koenigsegg Agera R models have actually been built and delivered (or the standard Agera R, for that matter), but however many it is it’s not more than a handful. Still, standing still means going backwards – whether you’ve built a single car or a million – so Christian von Koenigsegg and his men in the snow in a shed in Sweden have been busy putting the Agera and Agera R at the cutting edge for 2012 models.
New COPO Camaro concept hits the drag strip
Fri, 16 Dec 2011This Friday video goodness features a white 2012 COPO Camaro Stock Eliminator Concept on the drag strip. As Autoweek contributor Patrick Paternie explained during the SEMA show, the new COPO (Central Office Production Order) nameplate pays homage to the rare high-powered 1969 Camaros created through a loophole in the special-order program. This enabled dealers to specify a 427 engine--COPO 9560, the aluminum ZL1, or COPO 9561, the Corvette-based L72 iron block--despite the Camaro technically being limited to the 396-cubic-inch powerplant.
