The new Range Rover Sport crosses the ‘Empty Quarter’ Desert in record time We all know that almost every Range Rover Sport sold will never do anything more rugged than crossing a boot sale car park. But that doesn’t stop Land Rover hanging the Sport’s reputation on its ability to go anywhere, and do it more quickly. To demonstrate that combination of off-road prowess and speed they recently put the new Range Rover Sport up Pikes Peak in a record time (for an SUV) to demonstrate it could do rough stuff at speed, and now they’ve been out playing in the deserts of Saudi Arabia to ram the point home.

Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, held its summer semester show in August, one of three graduation shows per year. The show featured work from 14 graduating students in the Bachelor of Science - Transportation Design program. Yamaha DY-2 City Walker Concept - Daisuke Akojima  One of four boldly defined and colorful concepts presented by Akojima, the Yamaha DY-2 City Walker is a gyroscopically-balanced two-wheel city vehicle, that can be easily towed or linked with other City Walkers using electro-magnetic coupling, and small enough to be taken on specially prepared commuter trains.

Not to be confused with a 1963 Volkswagen Beetle with a similar sounding name, Urbee stands for URBan Electric vehicle with Ethanol as back-up. You can see why they settled on Urbee now, can't you? The Urbee is also the world’s first 3D-printed car, and the plan is to drive it from San Francisco to New York - a distance of 2,905 miles - in less than 44 hours.
