Important Information about Engine Warranty

Warranty applies to parts that arrive defective/damaged or become defective within the warranty period.

What is Covered
Engine warranties are limited to manufacturing defects in the Engine Block, Cylinder Head(s), Head Gasket(s), Crankshaft, Pistons, Rods, Bearings, Oil Pump, Camshaft(s), Valves, and Lifters.
What is NOT Covered or Guaranteed to be Included
The engine you receive may or may NOT include some additional accessories and extra parts. If included, these parts are sold AS-IS with NO WARRANTY and were included to help protect the engine during storage and shipping. Examples of these non-warranty parts include switches, sensors, cables, coils, wires, injectors, electronics, belts (including timing belt/chain), hoses, water pumps, brackets, intake/exhaust manifolds, oil pans, and turbo/superchargers (if equipped). To aid in installation, you get to keep your current engine and all attached accessories. Warranty does NOT cover labor, diagnostic, towing, or rental car costs.

Installation Check List

Failure to complete the following will void Warranty:

  • Determine why the original engine failure occurred and make appropriate repairs
  • Ensure this engine is the same application as the one being replaced
  • Clear all computer diagnostic codes from the vehicle prior to installing
  • Exchange the oil pan and pickup tube
  • Inspect and replace gaskets and seals (front seal, rear main seal, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gaskets)
  • On crankshaft bolts that are drilled-through, sealant bust be applied to avoid leaks
  • Install new thermostat and gasket (warranty will be void if engine heat tab is melted or removed)
  • Replace the timing belt/chain
  • Remove all 'cap-plugs' orifice covers
  • Replace water pump
  • Install replacement sparkplugs and wires
  • Exchange the flywheel and bolts
  • Exchange attached accessory items to ensure proper fit (mounts, intake and exhaust manifolds, distributor, sensor)
  • Disable fuel/ignition before attempting to start engine; this will allow the oil to prime as indicated by the manufacturer
  • Replace engine oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filters, and coolant/antifreeze
  • Drain excess oil and coolant from exhaust system
  • If equipped with an engine oil cooler, the radiator or external cooler must be replaced
  • Ensure the cooling system is flushed and functioning properly

Warranty does NOT cover labor, diagnostics, towing, rental car, or any other expense related to an item being defective/damaged

Heat tabs are installed on engine; if melted or missing, Warranty will be voided

You will receive only what is pictured unless otherwise stated in the description. Please do not assume anything else will be included if it is not pictured.

All of the parts we sell are guaranteed to be in good working condition unless otherwise noted. We guarantee ONLY that the part(s) will fit the vehicle(s) listed in the description. If your vehicle was not originally equipped with the EXACT part(s) listed, it is your responsibility to consult a dealer to see if it will fit your applications. Additional items may be needed if this is an upgrade or custom installation. Please consult your local dealer for ALL other applications.

Sergio Marchionne warns of strife ahead in Europe

Sat, 29 Sep 2012

Fiat chief exec Sergio Marchionne today warned of troubled waters ahead as Europe's car makers prepare for a radical restructuring. Marchionne, who's the current president of trade body ACEA, said factory closures were looming and repeated his call for a concerted EU-wide response to overcapacity. He warned that national interest was blocking action to strip out excess capacity, caused after European new car demand crashed by 3 million in the past five years.

Jaguar supercars

By Tim Pollard 29 July 2008 09:00 Luxury saloon specialist Jaguar has one genuine supercar contender under its belt, CAR would postulate. The XJ220 was born at the height of the supercar boom – but suffered the market collapse, and never really received the recognition it deserves. Intermot Motorcycle Show 2004

Wed, 23 Mar 2005

Motorcycle design is a term that conjures up many images to different people. To the majority North Americans, designing a motorcycle suggests a garage where several enthusiasts resembling the hit TV show Orange County Choppers assemble bikes based on the Harley Davidson model, with acres of chromed after market parts and hand lacquered custom paint jobs.To many others no thought is given at all to how the shapes of the bikes on the street came into being. The reality is that the major motorcycle manufacturers employ professional designers and serious technology the same way as in the car industry does, even if the final product is so different.
