This is about one uncut transponder key. The term transponder (short-for Transmitter-responder) means an automatic device that transmits a predetermined message in response to a predefined received signal. These car year, make and models have keys with transponders hidden inside the plastic head of the key. The owner of the car may not even be aware that the transponder is there because there are no buttons to press. When a key is inserted into the ignition lock cylinder and turned, the car's computer sends a radio signal to the transponder. Unless the transponder replies with a valid code, the computer will not allow the engine to be started. Transponder keys have no battery; they are energized by the radio signal itself. When you attempt to start the vehicle, the onboard computer sends out a signal that is picked up by the transponder in the key. The transponder then returns a unique signal to the vehicle's computer, giving it the ok for the vehicle to start and continue to run. This all happens in less than a second, and is completely transparent to the vehicle operator. It is a very effective system that does its job without the vehicle owner having to think about it, or modify his / her usual routine. This system was introduced to help reduce vehicle crime. If the transponder key is missing or faulty the car will not start. A few years ago, these keys were only available through the dealer, and the price they charge is really expensive (From $90 to $149 depending the Car). You can take it to most hardware stores, home improvement centers or locksmith shops to cut it and duplicate your original key. Once you have cut the key, you'll need to program it. That could be done by the dealer, a professional locksmith, or yourself. With the Item you'll receive the instructions. But to program yourself, you'll need to have at least two original programmed working keys. If you don't have two original working keys, you can just go to a locksmith or the dealer to cut and program it. Nissan LEAF: Fleet sales double
Tue, 13 Nov 2012Nissan has revealed that fleet sales of its electric LEAF have doubled in the UK, with overall Nissan fleet sales up 9 per cent. Sales of electric cars are not exactly stellar, but there is a light at the end of a very long tunnel shining dimly on UK EV sales – the fleet sector. Nissan has reported that its fleet sales in the UK – with 89 per cent of all fleets sales of cars actually built in the UK – has risen by 9 per cent so far in 2012, but the Nissan LEAF EV has seen its fleets sales more than double.

Well it’s an Audi, so all TTs now come with a set of LED daytime running lights. As for the rest of the car, come on, can’t you see the changes? Oh, well Audi says the interior and exterior have been 'revised with great attention to detail'.
Callaway's Supercharged Corvette Stingray packs 610-hp
Mon, 20 Jan 2014Callaway has debuted their supercharged version of the Chevrolet Corvette dubbed SC610, which should provide an intriguing alternative to the the 2015 Corvette Z06. SC of course stands for supercharged, with 610 being the horsepower figure. That's right, Callaway has squeezed out an extra 155-hp and 96 lb-ft of torque out of the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 powering the C7 Corvette, for a total of 610-hp and 55 lb-ft of torque.
