Up for auction we have a beautiful 1987 Suzuki LT 500R gas engine/carb/intake that was built by Trinity Racing.  This has complete Stage IV port work as well as a big bore 89mm LA Sleeve kit to produce roughly 550cc.  The top end has only a few hours of break in time.

The cylinder studs have been replaced with the heavier duty units to combat the issues that the 87 had with blowing head gaskets, the main bearing sleeves have been replaced with brass, and the crank has been trued and welded and has the "Turbo" crank mod that Trinity does with the Stage 4 kit.  The cases have also been ported internally and polished to a mirror finish externally as well as the cylinder.  All o the engine bolts have been chromed.  The cases have no damage anywhere.

The carb is a Mikuni TMX 40mm flat slide "Pro Series" that is in excellent condition.  The Intake is a FMF Ram Valve.

The cylinder head has been has been milled and this is a race gas engine.

This engine will come with everything that you see in the pics including the cable that is ready to be hooked up to a stock LT 500R thumb throttle.  This also has a billet chain gaurd.

In terms of overall condition, everything here is in VERY good shape.  The engine has had very little use in the last 5 years and runs PERFECT.  The clutch is new and has zero slippage.  The transmission shifts flawlessly and this engine does not leak any oil!  If you are looking for a bad ass engine that is ready to go this is it!

I will ship this overseas, however it will be VERY expensive.  I shipped an LT 500 engine to Australia and the cost was around $650.  Shipping to Canada may be less if I get you a UPS "Standard to Canada" quote.  If you are truly interested in buying this I can get you a quote.

Sorry, and 89mm bore would equate to 535cc, not 550.

Autoweek's Best of the Best/Truck finalists for 2014

Every year, hundreds of new cars and trucks pass through our fleet for evaluation, and we're always on the lookout for those dazzling few deserving more careful scrutiny for our top honors: The Autoweek Best of the Best. We strive to do our judging under the radar with as little manufacturer knowledge as possible. We test for the Best of the Best by checking drivetrain, ride quality, handling, exterior styling and the like.

Chrysler ecoVoyager concept (2008): first official pictures

Mon, 14 Jan 2008

By James Foxall First Official Pictures 14 January 2008 20:46 As the only Detroit-based car maker to become privately owned and retain its market share last year, Chrysler was hoping its cars would deflect attention from rumoured warring among its new management team. And the ecoVoyager concept was certainly eye-catching, if arguably for the wrong reasons. In fact, it rather reminds us of an automotive push-me, pull-you.

2012 Ferrari California revealed ahead of Geneva

Wed, 15 Feb 2012

The 2012 California gets more power and less weight The Ferrari California has been given a bit of a facelift for 2012, with lower weight and more power. Debuts at Geneva 2012. Update: We’d expected to see the California go up in price by around £10k, but Ferrari tell us that the new price – £152,086, up from £146,960 – is not related to the California updates but just an annual increase of 3.4 per cent levied from January.
