LA Design Challenge 2009

The entries - coming from the Southern California design studios of Audi, General Motors, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota - all revolve around a set theme which asked designers to envision the ultimate ‘youthmobile' for the year 2030. Automobiles have always played an important role in Southern California, enhancing the social lives of youth and acting as a means of self expression.

Tue, 08 Sep 2009By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 08 September 2009 12:57 PSA is forging closer links with Mitsubishi; after the Outlander became the C-Crosser and 4007, now Peugeot has teamed up with the Japanese to launch the i0n – an electric car based on the electric Mitsubishi i-car. The zero-emissions Peugeot i0n (combines a zero with ions, geddit?) will go on sale at the end of 2010 and builds on the French company’s expertise with EVs stretching all the way back to 1995 when it launched the 106 Electric. It’ll go 80 miles on one charge of the lithium ion battery, making it ideal for urban commuting and short shuttles, says Peugeot.
Dax Shepard goes full throttle
Thu, 12 Jul 2012Dax Shepard leaned on his Hollywood acting friends to fill out the cast of his new movie, Hit and Run, that hits theaters on Aug. 24. (Watch the movie trailer here.) But he wrote the script with his "stars" in mind--a hot-rodded 1967 Lincoln Continental and a Tatum Baja 1000 racer that he keeps in his garage.
