Triumph Spitfire GT6 Herald Vitesse 1962-81 set of 4 door hinges part #607824 This is a good usable original set of door hinges and mounting bolts for all Triumph Herald, Vitesse, Spitfire or GT6 models all years. This is a full set of all 4 hinges plus bolts, including the special countersunk set screws. These hinges came from a late model Spitfire which only had 38,000 on it and they do appear to be in good shape, not much wear. They still have the fiber gasket shims stuck on. They have a little surface rust but nothing deep or really significant .They will obviously need to be cleaned up for re-paint. They will fit into a small flat rate USPS Priority Mail box for shipping. |

Earthquake auction Ferrari 599 XX Evo handed to Google’s Benjamin Sloss
Tue, 11 Sep 2012The Ferrari 599 XX Evo auctioned by Ferrari to raise funds for the earthquake in the Emilia Romagna region has been handed to Benjamin Sloss of Google. Back in May, following the earthquake in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, Ferrari ran an auction to raise funds to help victims of the earthquake’ Amongst the items put up for auction by Ferrari were an F60 nose-cone and an F2008 engine, but the star lot was a brand new Ferrari 599 XX Evo, Ferrari’s track-day only testbed for all things Maranello. The winner of the 599 XX Evo turns out to be a deep-pocketed Google VP – Benjamin Sloss – who forked out €1.4 million for his new plaything (which was almost a bargain price) and, as part of the auction offering, he was rewarded for his generosity with a presentation of his new Ferrari at last weekend’s Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
2013 Peugeot RCZ facelift priced from £21,595
Tue, 20 Nov 2012The facelift for the Peugeot RCZ – revealed at the Paris Motor Show – will cost from £21,595 when it arrives in January 2013. The main change for the RCZ is the loss of the old ‘big gob’ Peugeot nose, to be replaced by a much more appealing front that fits in with the rest of Peugeot’s current crop of cars, complete with LED running lights, new grill and headlights and a bigger air intake with chrome bars. As well as the more obvious changes to the exterior, the RCZ gets some minor interior tweaks, with the Sport spec getting auto lights and option of half leather and leather/Alcantara. The GT spec RCZ gets a few more changes including 19″‘Technical’ alloys, interior sports kit, new interior colours, the option of matt black roof arches, new body transfer decals and more alloy choices.
Nissan opens new design studio in Beijing
Thu, 13 Oct 2011Delayed by the deadly earthquake that hit Japan earlier this year, Nissan Motor Co.'s new design center in Beijing finally received a proper opening this week, when global design chief Shiro Nakamura showed off the studio as a new source of ideas for Nissan and Infiniti. Nissan Design China, as the Beijing-based center is known, "is not a studio to just generate ideas for China," Nakamura said in an interview with Car Design News. It's equipped to handle designs of show cars and production cars for both Nissan and Infiniti brands, aimed at customers in China, as well as around the world.
