Here is a (approx.) 1962 Triumph TR4 engine, 2138cc core suitable for rebuilding, basically a long block.  The number stamped on the side of the block is CT4836E.  It comes with: cylinder head, exhaust/intake manifold, distribitor base with tach drive, dipstick, thermostat housing, water pump and valve cover.  It is missing the timing cover and front pulley.  This motor is stuck and we have not tried to turn it over.  We received this engine with a truck load of NOS parts from Clearwater, Florida approximately 10 years ago.  The story we were told is that the engine came from a TR4 that was crashed by the first owner on his first day of ownership.  We have no idea if the story is true, but sounded fun.  *Shipping is to be paid by the buyer.* **In order to accurately calculate the Shipping and Handling Fee, if interested, please message via e-Bay your address, so that we may accommodate you accordingly. Audi takes a dig at BMW, Lexus & Mercedes in new video commercials We’ve had a little spat between Jaguar and Mercedes recently over Mercedes’ Chicken Magic Body Control, with Jaguar’s Big Cat eating Mercedes MBC Chicken and now, ahead of what seems a likely airing in the Super Bowl advert slots, Audi is taking a pop at everyone. Audi are bigging-up the Audi A3 saloon ahead of its arrival in the USA with a quartet of commercials demonstrating the regret buyers have if they’ve already opted for a Mercedes, BMW or Lexus. We get a video on ‘Luxury Car Abstinence’, one of ‘Shame’, one on Buyer’s Remorse’ and one on ‘Lessons’ with the theme being that you should save yourself for the best – the Audi A3 Saloon – and not bother with the also-rans.

The Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept at LA We’re still finding it quite hard to get our heads round the fact that Cadillac are making appealing cars. Not just cars that appeal when we go to the former colonies and want something sybaritic to nestle in and cruise, but real cars that are actually fun to drive. Button wins for Brawn GP in Barcelona - with Barrichello in second place [ad#ad-1] Brawn’s fairytale season continues, with Jenson Button taking the win in Barcelona, with team mate Rubens Barrichello in second place. Button lost first place to team mate Barrichello off the line but, after a safety car on the first lap, strategy genius Ross Brawn moved Button on to a two-stop strategy, which proved a master stroke as Button cruised in to an 11 second lead by mid-point, and ended the day 13 seconds ahead of Barrichello at the finish. Ferrari had a better day than they’ve had of late, and Massa looked good for a strong finish, but an error at his last pit-stop left him short of fuel, and he had to back off and let Vettel in the Red Bull through in the dying laps of the race to have a chance of making it to the end.
