True Ford 312 Y Block Ecz-6015 C 1957 Thunderbird Special V8 Complete 272 292 on 2040-parts.com
Spokane, Washington, United States
This is the rare, true 312 Y-Block that came from an estate sale. The lady said that it came from her late husbands 1957 T-Bird that he did a crate motor swap in. It is straight from the car and has never been rebuilt or bored out. It has all the correct identifiers for a true 1957 312. It is a complete engine with all original 312 components. If you would like more pictures, ask and I will post them on this listing. The 312 crank has the "flange dot" seen in the pictures with the "ECZ" on the main caps. The intake is a 4 barrel ECZ-9425-B with a Holley carb. The heads are both marked with "ECZ-G", Valve covers say "Thunderbird Special V8". Timing cover marked "ECG-6059-B". This engine is located in Spokane, WA 99224, but I am able to deliver it to Portland or Seattle. I am willing to crate it and send it through UPS at purchasers request.
Please email me with any questions! Thanks! |

McLaren F1: the inside story by Peter Stevens and Gordon Murray
Fri, 29 Aug 2014For a kid who grew up in the ’80s and ’90s with those cliché supercar posters on my wall, the chance to chat to Gordon Murray and Peter Stevens for the September 2014 issue of CAR magazine was both terrifying and incredibly exciting. In the name of completeness I’ll mention that Murray was the genius behind the McLaren F1, designer Stevens a key player, but most of you won’t need to be reminded. You’ll know that Murray and Stevens, along with a small but brilliant team, created a supercar that beat Lamborghini and Ferrari and everyone else in the world.
Earle stays with Monterey Historics for another year
Thu, 27 Aug 2009Maybe the 2010 Historics won't be so different after all. Last week, the day after the Monterey Historics concluded, founder and producer Steve Earle announced that he and his company, General Racing, would no longer be producing that well-loved event. But on Thursday, in an interesting change, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca announced that Earle will be one of five selection-committee members planning next year's Monterey Historics race.
Driving licence costs to be cut by almost a third
Mon, 28 Jul 2014The cost of a driving licence is going down Actually the cost of applying foe a driving licence is a drop in the ocean compared with just about every other motoring cost, but the news that the Government are planning to cut the cost of anything is always welcome news. The Roads Minister, Stephen Hammond, has announced that the Government is planning to cut the cost of applying for your first driving licence from £50 to £34 if you process your application digitally and by 15 per cent if you do a paper application. That will also see the 10 year renewal of photo licences fall from £20 to £14 and driver tachograph card – for commercial drivers – will also drop from £38 to £32.
