The Most Powerful 23° Standard Racing Head Available

These heads are used & freshly serviced by AFR, with all new intake and exhaust valves, new 5-angle valve job, and new seals. They have around 20 passes on them. I decided to go with larger heads, when I took these off, I saw that the valves were pitted. I sent the complete heads back to AFR and they warrantied the whole thing. I've never used nitrous on them and the heads have never been cracked or repaired. I also have Crower SS shaft rockers that came off the motor up on another auction. These 210 Comps flow higher than the 220 Race Readys, check out AFRs website to see the flow charts. I'm including a copy of the work order that shows all of the service AFR performed on the heads. I'm shipping them in AFRs original shipping box. If you have any questions, call Gary at 310-549-3000

These reasonably priced AFR 210cc intake port small block Chevy angle plug cylinder heads are available in two stages of performance. The Race Ready version features 100% CNC ported intakes while the higher flowing Competition version features 100% CNC ported intakes with greater detail. Both come with 100% CNC ported combustion chambers and 65cc exhaust ports with a 3/4” thick head deck (ideal for nitrous or blower applications). Standard valves are lightweight 8mm 2.080 intake and 1.600 exhaust with AFR’s hardened ductile iron interlocking valve seats. The exceptional flow characteristics, 23° valve angle, and standard valve spacing make this the perfect head for 350 to 400 cid engines in bracket drag cars, sportsman oval trackers, and highly modified street class cars operating between 3000 and 7500 rpm (higher rpm ranges possible depending on combination of parts). The 210cc aluminum cylinder heads are available in either standard or spread port exhaust. No special parts are required. Dual valve cover bolt pattern is standard. Exhaust port is raised .250 over GM L98 cylinder heads. Note: Standard stud girdle will not fit. AFR offset stud girdles must be run if a stud girdle is desired.

I also have Crower SS shaft rockers that came off the motor up on another auction.

Check out this video, you can see my car is street strip, and not full blown race car.

Aston Martin Virage: Best to think of it as the DB9 ‘Ghia’

Wed, 02 Mar 2011

Aston Martin Virage at Geneva No, we didn’t know there was a yawning gap in price and performance between the Aston Martin DB9 and the Aston Martin DBS, crying out to be filled by the new Aston Martin Virage. And nor did we know there was a similar gap between the DBS Volante and the DB9 Volante, just begging for the Aston Martin Virage Volante. But Aston Martin obviously realised.

Antique Automobile Club of America displays car collecting and its finest in Hershey

Fri, 22 Oct 2010

Searching for vintage car parts, literature, gas station collectables, or even a nice old car? The best place to look is the annual Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Fall National Meet, better known as “Hershey.” Now in its 55th year, it's the world's largest old car gathering, with an 1,800-car concours, more than 1,000 cars for sale in the “car corral,” and, best of all, an astounding 9,000 flea market spaces, chock full of more automotive artifacts than you can imagine, all scattered in no particular order on 85-plus acres--that's nearly 90 football fields--or “22 miles of aisles,” as Hershey devotees say. It takes a lot of walking, but walk we did for four days, for a close-up of this fascinating offshoot of the old-car hobby.

Honda tears up its old product plan

Mon, 26 Oct 2009

Honda Motor Co. is reviewing its entire lineup with the aim of building less expensive and more fuel-efficient vehicles, Honda CEO Takanobu Ito says. In the case of some next-generation products--including the crucial Civic platform used on a variety of vehicles worldwide--that means making major changes to vehicles already well along in the development process.
