MADE IN THE USA!

Install your choice of radio head unit and speakers and your less than an hour away from having one of the best, if not the best universal over-head radio console on the market!

This new console features a low profile design that is easy to install without the need to roof mount. To install you simply screw to the underside of most any flat roof using the complete adjustable mounting kit included. Stainless steel rubber-seal washers prevent leaks.

This unit is completely assembled and factory wired with a wiring harness that is compatible with most single din automotive and marine radio head units. We have done all the hard work for you with an internal circuit that enables you to have a separate master switch for the radio and the led Cab light, yes you also get a 12" super-bright Cab Light made by TubeLoom! To make the electrical connection simply bring a 16 or 18 gauge positive and negative (12volt) wires to the unit and connect them to the power in wires that are factory ready and labeled, that's it!

The unit is also equipped with a accessible fuse holder and the entire circuit is fuse protected. We cut all factory holes for the radio and also (2) 6.5" speakers. ( speaker holes are 5", industry standard, and can be easily enlarged for some larger frame speakers ).

The console is manufactured 100% here in the USA out of Thermal Formed durable ABS plastic and features molded internal re-enforcement structure which makes this unit extremely durable and also lighter in weight. The back of the unit is removable and features a foam/rubber seal to keep the dirt and mud out!

The large radio pod is also removable without having to remove the entire unit, this makes it easy if the need arises for radio service. The pod has been designed to be able to use the BOSS water-resistant "flip-top" radio cover ( sold sep. ) if wanted.

Best of all like all other Rock'in Radio's consoles it looks great! We don't make a "box" with hard unfinished corners and a blah finish, our consoles are specifically designed to be durable, contain the right amount of air-space, and look they belong apart of your machine.

This sale is for a completely assembled and pre-wired console only, and does not include the radio head unit or speakers. It has been factory tested and ready for your choice of equipment. All of the wires are clearly marked with identifier tags as well as a set of instructions to help you make all the necessary connections to your radio and speakers.

Geneva 2011 - Best in Show

Fri, 04 Mar 2011

Unlike Detroit, which generated a lot of hype for what turned out to be not as much new product as we'd hoped, the Geneva show was a true return to form, with all new vehicles occupying various different market segments making their debuts. But Geneva wouldn't be complete without the seemingly never-ending stream of concept cars filling the halls of the Palexpo. Every year the Swiss show's neutrality is the perfect breeding ground for the French, Italian and German automakers to strut their future visions for mobility about.

McLaren P13 set to arrive in 2014

Sun, 24 Mar 2013

The next new car from McLaren – codenamed P13 and set to take on the Porsche 911 and Audi R8 – now looks set to arrive in 2014. McLaren’s plans for a new range of road cars have been in play for a number of years, and we initially expected the 12C to arrive first to take on the Ferrari 458, which it did, followed by a cheaper McLaren set to take on cars like the Porsche 911 and Audi R8. We got the McLaren MP4-12C (which McLaren now like us to call the 12C) followed by the 12C Spider – just as we first thought - but it seems McLaren was under pressure from its new dealer network to get the replacement for the legendary F1 out next, so McLaren switched tack and delivered the new McLaren P1.

Visual arts students vs. in-car technology

Thu, 09 May 2013

The automobile's natural technological evolution has gone from basics like wipers and headlights to high-tech infotainment systems that map your route, locate the nearest Starbucks, report weather and traffic, and stream personal music libraries. Yet many of these systems are difficult and distracting to use. So we wondered: Of the infotainment systems out there, is there even one achieving its connectivity goals better than the rest?
