New MINI teased in competition to attend the reveal It may be a few more weeks until the new MIN I is unveiled – 18th November, Sir Alec Issigonis’ birthday – but MINI is already upping the tease with a new competition. The reveal of the new MINI is scheduled to happen simultaneously at events in London, Los Angels and Shanghai and MINI are offering the chance to get an invite to one of the three reveals for three lucky winners. Ferrari posted a 'Coming Soon' link on their site for the Ferrari 600GTB today! But it looks like all the interest in the 458 might just have got Ferrari a little flustered. Their web bods have updated the Ferrari website to show the information we brought you last week, but in the process they put up a nice little box which said ‘Coming soon – Ferrari 600 GTB‘.

Vauxhall Rake concept (2011) at Frankfurt motor show

Alongside the Astra GTC and Zafira Tourer, Vauxhall (and thus Opel) is unveiling something a little more ‘out there’ at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. It’s this tiny city car, known by Vauxhall as RAK e, and which we’re going to call the Rake. The name is a modern take on the Rak 2, a rocket-powered Opel that hit 140mph in 1928.
