This is a 1914 J.A.P. 293cc 2 1/2 HP side valve, air cooled engine. Engine number 3491 This number is a early 1914 number as my New Imperial with engine number 7833 was issued with a pioneer certificate for 1914.
It is missing the cylinder barrel and piston.
The engine is basically in good condition, it has a crankshaft, and connecting rod, all the valve train of gears with camshaft, and rockers.
The gear train is complete to the magneto. The crankshaft gear is poor and will need to be replaced.
The only damage to the crankcase is a small piece missing by the oil union (no pressure at joint)
With the engine is an original exhaust, engine sprocket, Albion belt pulley, and a few other frame fittings (many for patterns)
Viewing recommended, or prepared to ship worldwide.
Any questions about the engine please ask. I would like to see it reunited to a suitable frame.

Cost of shipping is an estimate, please ask for shipping costs to your destination. I will ship at cost.
