Sometimes, notably in the case of sailing yachts, the exhaust line is so long that an extra large waterlock is needed to prevent the large volume of water in the line from running back into the engine once it has been stopped. VETUS waterlock type LSG is the ideal solution for boats sailing in rough waters, without the engine running. To simplify installation both the 60mm inlet and outlet stubs will rotate through 360 degrees. They are also fitted with a drain plug for winter storage and an integral check valve. It is possible to fit a sensor for an exhaust temperature alarm into the inlet hose connection of the LSG. Capacity: 17 litres

"No way," was the statement from Ford design chief J Mays when asked whether the redesigned 2014 Ford Mustang will be another retro job. He says the next iteration of the pony car will follow a different road. The design for the next Ford Mustang is currently being "locked down," according to Mays.

BMW has unveiled the new 3-series Touring estate. It goes on sale on 22 September 2012 in UK dealers, priced from £26,180. Although not a big seller globally - it accounts for just 6% of 3-series sales globally - the Touring is popular in Britain, where it makes up 15% of all Three sales.
