Vintage convertible boot from a 1966 Buick Skylark.  Used but in very good condition--no rips, tears or separation.  Interior foam padding intact and six snaps on leading edge are present.  Missing some of the boot clips for rear edge but these are available from convertible roof suppliers.  Reportedly also fitted to convertible tops on 1966-67 Buick Gran Sport and Special; 1966-67 Oldsmobile Cutlass, Supreme, 442 and F85; 1966-67 Pontiac Tempest, GTO, LeMans; and 1966-67 Chevrolet Chevelle and Malibu.

Electric Rolls Royce Phantom Rolls Royce has taken the wraps of its experimental electric Phantom at  Geneva – Rolls Royce 102EX –  and they certainly haven’t done things by halves. Rolls Royce engineers have taken the regular engine out of the Phantom and replaced it with a pair of electric motors rated at 145 kWh and possibly the biggest lithium-ion battery bank on four wheels. The Phantom EV uses five lithium-cobalt-manganese-oxide (or NCM) pouch cells which form the shape of the engine and live under the bonnet.

Faulty airbags cause recall of 3.4 million cars

Toyota, Honda and Nissan are recalling more than 3 million vehicles made between November 2000 and March 2004 for faulty airbags from parts supplier Takata, Automotive News reported on Thursday. So far, 1.73 million Toyotas, 1.14 million Hondas, and 480,000 Nissans are involved in the recall. But the report from Automotive News suggests Takata also supplied other manufacturers with the same airbags.
