Here is a used speedometer head in good working condition from a 1977 Kawasaki Sno-Jet Astro. The lens does have a few very tiny white specks on it which you might be able to clean off. If you view the last pic, you can see that the threaded fitting for the cable does look a bit distorted however I did try screwing a speedo cable into it and I had no problem getting the cable to screw on. Johnny was taking the Tiguan off to a sheep farm to play around; Eric was off to Silverstone to have a bash on the track and the skid-pan and Harriet was off on a mystery tour round Oxford (which as we said at the time was no easy thing). Well, the winner’s been announced this morning and it’s Harriet, who wins a nice shiny VW Tiguan for her efforts.
Hyundai i30 SR – a taste of Sporty Hyundai
Fri, 19 Oct 2012Hyundai in Australia has revealed the Hyundai i30 SR, an i30 with a 2.0 litre petrol engine and a sportier edge. Hyundai in the UK defaults to its diesel engine offerings across almost its entire range, with the Golf challenging i30 offering only a 1.4 litre petrol with a very modest 98bhp apart from the diesel offerings. But Hyundai in Australia marches to its own beat and has rather bigger ambitions for the brand than Hyundai exhibit in most of the rest of the world, with thoughts about a Hyundai ‘Genesis’ luxury brand (although that seems to have come to nought so far) and their very own ‘Sporty’ take for the Hyundai range in the ‘SR’ model.
