The Toyota Etios launches in Delhi We brought you the Toyota ‘Blockbuster’ video for the new Toyota Etios yesterday and expected the new emerging-markets car to launch in Delhi tomorrow. But they’ve been and gone and done it today, and although it couldn’t possibly live up to the hype, it’s not a bad looking car at all. Much of what we said yesterday stands.

Jaguar C-X17 concept (2013) design boss Ian Callum on interior design

As with all concept cars, the Jaguar C-X17’s interior is the least production-viable element of the entire design, but it does give vital clues to the direction that design boss Ian Callum and his team are evaluating for the future. The focus is on clean, strong, flowing design, one that shuns clutter for pared-back simplicity. Open the door and you’ll notice both the sense of space and the small F-type steering wheel and four individual bucket seats, the latter two elements suggesting a nimble, involving driving experience.

‘Big Red London Bus’ returns

The 21st Century 'Routemaster' Double-Decker Bus will be in service by 2012 I doubt we can speak for everyone who visits London. But from our perspective London is a poorer place now the iconic Routemaster red buses are relegated to the odd heritage route and pay-to-see tourist trip (and we’d have to say the same about Mercedes Taxis – nicer places to be but they don’t look right). What’s needed is a 21st century version of the Routemaster (and the Black Cab – but that’s another story).
