The new Mercedes S-Class Coupe & GLA Compact SUV have been testing in Death Valley With the petrolhead world getting used to seeing spy photos of new cars to come on a daily basis, car makers are getting in on the act with their own photos of suitably camouflaged new models. DIESEL pollution makes it harder for honeybees to find flowers - by changing the chemical make-up of their scent, scientists have found. Honeybees use floral odours to find flowers that will give the best yields of pollen and nectar. But diesel fumes can affect their ability to locate and recognise the plants, potentially affecting pollination and ultimately global food security, the study published in the journal Scientific Reports found.

Funding sought to restore WWI lorry

AN APPEAL has gone out for funding to complete the restoration of a three-ton lorry used in the First World War which is the last of its kind left. The Coventry-built Maudslay vehicle was one of more than 1,700 Maudslays that saw service in the Great War. Coventry Motor Museum which purchased the vehicle 14 years ago now needs to raise £5,000 to put the finishing touches to the restoration in time for the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War this summer.
