Lexus NX Compact SUV: OFFICIALFri, 11 Apr 2014The Lexus NX (pictured) revealed in standard and F Sport guise Last weekend Lexus teased the production version of their new compact SUV – the Lexus NX – ahead of its debut, and this morning we get the official reveal and details of specification and powertrains. Aimed at compact SUVs like the BMW X3 and Audi Q5, the production version of the Lexus NX may have been toned down somewhat from the LF-NX Concept, but it’s still a bold design and keeps a degree of the angularity of the concept; it’ll stand out in the sector – no bad thing. As you’d expect, the big, bold Lexus grill makes its presence felt, with slim LED headlights, big wheelarches, statement alloys (17″ or 18″), sculpted bonnet, sharp creases on the flanks and a back end that’s as angular as the front. Kia Magentis (2011) first official picturesSun, 14 Mar 2010This is the all-new Kia Magentis, revealed by the Korean company ahead of the official launch on 1 April at the 2010 New York motor show. It does indeed. Saloons below the likes of the Aston Martin Rapide are rarely beautiful, and although we're not saying the Magentis is a stunner, it is definitely a decent step forward for Kia. Drink Drive Limit Cut: Binned for nowWed, 25 Aug 2010The Drink Drive Limit safe - for now Having already criminalised a huge swathe of the motoring population of the UK by sticking endless ‘Safety’ Cameras anywhere they will catch drivers unaware and rake in huge fines, it seemed the Con-Dems were about to emulate the last administration’s actions on motorists and move to a stupidly low drink drive alcohol limit to try and criminalise the handful of motorists the speed cameras hadn’t already nabbed. Earlier this summer a quango report – lead by ‘Expert’ Sir Peter North – declared that the UK’s drink drive limit should be lowered from the current 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood to 50mg – less than a pint for most people. In our risk averse, nanny-state, ‘elf ‘n’ safety obsessed world it seemed a dead cert that the UK would adopt a lower limit – as the report recommended - in line with much of Europe. 2040Parts.com © 2012-2024.
