Driver in Paul Walker crash was racer in his own right: Roger Rodas: 1975-2013
Sun, 01 Dec 2013You know the headline: “Fast and the Furious” star Paul Walker died Saturday when the driver of the red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that Walker was riding in lost control in a business park drive, wrapped the Porsche around a tree, and then the Porsche burned. But less likely to make headlines was the death of the driver of the car, Walker's friend for nearly a decade, Roger Rodas, who became Walker's formal business partner and financial advisor in 2007. Mercedes A-class AMG (2012) spied on video
Sun, 11 Sep 20112012 Mercedes A-Class AMG caught on video in Germany We had the very impressive-looking Mercedes A-Concept at the Shanghai Motor Show back in April, and the less than impressive-looking new Mercedes A-Class patent drawings a while later. We had high hopes for the new A-Class – which will arrive sometime in 2012 – when we saw what Mercedes had done with the A Concept, but that turned to disappointment when the more prosaic patent drawings appeared.
CAR interviews Patrick le Quément on Renault design (2009)
Wed, 29 Apr 2009By Richard Yarrow Motor Industry 29 April 2009 16:05 Patrick le Quément, 64, has steered Renault through one of its most interesting – some would say controversial – design phases in its history. Born in Marseilles but educated from the age of 12 in the UK, he speaks almost accentless English and agrees to talk to CAR on the eve of his retirement. Le Quément is one of those designers who’s achieved stellar recognition over the past two decades – matching the reputation of Chris Bangle and J Mays as a member of the design A-list, that exclusive club who’ve helped shape the modern motor car as we know it today.
