Up for sale is this Old School Custom Coffin Gas Tank. I had it on a Harley back in the late 60's. It is well built and seems to be in good shape. It is strong, solid and straight. It was built in the USA with lightweight but strong fiberglass. It has two tanks built into it with an internal divider. The top holds about 1 gallon of gas and the bottom holds about 1-1/2 gallons. The original finish is gold metal-flake bonded in the fiberglass. It has an internal copper vent tube that comes out the bottom and a gas supply threaded fitting for shut off valves on each half of the tank. Uses standard Harley gas caps. The weight is a little over 5 pounds. The approximate dimensions for tank are (Measured from top width and length 17" x 9-1/2" x 4-1/2" Side front height 7" Side back height 2-3/4"). It needs new mounts on the bottom for your application by using fiberglass epoxy resin which can also be used to touch up any nicks then sanded. (Has a few minor nicks on top of corner). Will ship Worldwide for costs. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe revealed – sort of

Fri, 03 May 2013

But, as expected, Jaguar are heading full tilt towards a production F-Type Coupe that will follow the lines of the appealing CX-16, as evidenced by the patent image filings (above) acquired by Auto Motor und Sport. The show an F-Type Coupe that delivers almost all of the style the CX-16 did – just as Land Rover managed when they turned the LRX in to the Range Rover Evoque – which will disappoint no one. In fact, the coupe – with its roof line flowing down from the A-pillar right to the tail – is better looking than the Roadster and more evocative of the E-Type.

Intermot Motorcycle Show 2004

Wed, 23 Mar 2005

Motorcycle design is a term that conjures up many images to different people. To the majority North Americans, designing a motorcycle suggests a garage where several enthusiasts resembling the hit TV show Orange County Choppers assemble bikes based on the Harley Davidson model, with acres of chromed after market parts and hand lacquered custom paint jobs.To many others no thought is given at all to how the shapes of the bikes on the street came into being. The reality is that the major motorcycle manufacturers employ professional designers and serious technology the same way as in the car industry does, even if the final product is so different.
