You are purchasing a beautiful original Made in England "TENAX" fastener. These were used on Tonneau and Convertible Tops on MG's and Austin-Healys in the 1950's and early 60's. Specifically this was from a 1960 Austin-Healy. I do not have the stud that mounts to the vehicle, only this part that attaches to the top. As you can see from the photos the part has a nice vintage patina to the nickel finish. The internal stud gripping parts which is a 3 piece affair is present and appears to be functional, however since I do not have the mating stud to confirm holding strength it is an unknown. It does appear that they can be disassembled and maybe can be repaired if necessary.

Please read entire description and review all of the pictures carefully as they are your best indicator of the overall cosmetic condition and ask any questions you may have before purchase.

Part will be packed very carefully for shipping, more pictures available if needed.

On International sales, I only use the eBay Global Shipping program and will not ship globally through other means

College Exhibition: IED Fiat/Chrysler project

Fri, 13 Nov 2009

Second year students at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Turin, Italy, recently completed a Fiat/Chrysler sponsored project, which began in February 2009. Conceived as a didactic exercise to think about the recent alliance between Fiat and Chrysler, 37 students were asked to design a vehicle capable of combining the technical know-how, platforms and values of both brands in order to generate interesting and competitive new products for the European and the American markets. In creating their concepts, students were asked to take into account the style, economic accessibility and the low environmental impact of Fiat vehicles as well as the new platforms and major industrial and production capacity afforded by the Italian automaker's alliance with the Chrysler brand.
