Porsche Steel Center Wheel Rare, rare, rare! This vintage Porsche steel center with riveted alloy outer has been sitting around my shop for at least 25 years! It is in excellent overall condition and clearly has never sustained any damage. It is date stamped 2/62, but is the same wheel originally used on Carrera Speedsters and coupes RS60 and 61 Spyders, Abarth Carreras, and Carrera 2’s. Although I have had the privilege of owning and racing all of the above historical Porsche race cars over the past 30 years, I no longer possess any Porsche 356’s. Lambo Aventador production delayed by earthquake
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Lamborghini has admited some deliveries of its V12 Aventador flagship may be postponed following sucessive earthquakes in the Emilia Romagna region in late May 2012. How have the Italian earthquakes impacted on Lamborghini? A statement overnight from the Sant'Agata HQ said that the tremors on 20 and 29 May didn't actively damage the Lamborghini factory, or hinder Gallardo production.
Rains Wash Out Pacific Coast Highway
Fri, 18 Mar 2011California's scenic Highway 1 is closed down for at least a month after a landslide washed out a 40-foot section of the famous road just north of Big Sur. The closure is in effect from 12 miles north of Big Sur State Park at the Bixby Creek Bridge to 10 miles miles south of the Carmel River Bridge "due to a slip-out," according to the California Dept. of Transportation.
2012 Zafira Tourer revealed
Wed, 18 May 20112012 Vauxhall Zafira Tourer - pretty much the same as the concept GM’s European arms of Vauxhall and Opel managed to tease us with the Zafira Tourer Concept back in February with a hologram of the new 7-seat Zafira hovering over the iPad of designer Mark Adams. Which if we have to have new cars teased this was at least a thought-out and original way to go. Fast forward a couple of weeks and we saw the Zafira Tourer Concept turning up at the Geneva Motor Show as a future big brother for the Zafira and potential competition for the Ford S-Max.
