Some signs of age from sitting on shelf for a couple decades
Brand:unknown Manufacturer Part Number:unknown

This armature was in a box of miscellaneous NOS snowmobile parts which I acquired several years ago and was not in a bag and did not have a parts label on it so I am not sure what sled it is for. I believe it is new/unused but it does show some minor signs of surface rust from sitting around for eons. The total shaft length is about 6 15/16". The long end of the shaft extends about 1 5/8" past where the spiral part ends. The spiral length is about 1" long. The spiral OD is 14.75 mm, the OD on the long end is 12 mm. The opposite end of the shaft is about 12.34 mm OD. The commutator OD is 33.22 mm and the armature OD is 52.15 mm OD. The box this was found in contained mainly Skiroule snowmobile parts but I don't know for sure what this armature might be for.

Autoweek in review: What you may have missed

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

Rain fell all week at One Autoweek Tower, and the breaking news didn't let up, either. Things started out busy enough on Monday with Bugatti losing its top-speed record and the trailer of Ron Howard's new film, “Rush,” hitting the Web. On Tuesday we paid homage to Distracted Driving month by recounting the touching story of a Kansas State Trooper who has witnessed a variety of tragic scenes -- many resulting from distracted driving.
