LISTED AS PICK UP ONLY, BUT WILL BREAK DOWN AND SHIP IF A DEAL IS STRUCK AHEAD OF TIME. SHIPPING WILL BE FAIRLY HIGH ON SOMETHING LIKE THIS WITH ENGINE --Also may be able to help get it north toward Sacramento and up to Reno the first week of August m(hwy99 North to 80 east) - check with me ahead of time to make sure my guy is going that way. --Vintage Taco 22 from about 1967 judging by the full round tube just below the seat - they started crimping this before welding halfway through 1967 model year--Forks look to have the tubes possibly replaced, but did a great job if they did. Tried to get closeups of the tubes and the welding at the triple trees--This bike is rider quality as it has had a few things added/changed that would take some work to get back to original. Engine is basically a new Briggs 4hp that came on another bike. Got owner's manual back then and may still have it, but the guy kept it after buying the engine new, installing it and sitting in the shed for years after. Motor starts and runs great. Don't know wher the original air cleaner is, but they are cheap and easy to get--Clutch cover is a poor repro with a blemish on the lettering, but is very nnice for a rider, could be nicer with some elbow grease--Has the drum brake upgrade rather than the scrub brake, and is a real Taco brake--For some reason there was an extra section added to extend the engine plate and covering the area where the serial number is usually at--New seat--Extra wide footpeg was added and feels good for an adult. ----COPY/PASTE THIS LINK TO THE YOUTUBE VIDEO OF IT RIDING--> https://youtu.be/HWCS3DBsdzQ< --COPY/PASTE INTO YOUR BROWSER FOR VIDEO

Megane Renaultsport 265 Trophy grabs Nurburgring Record

Fri, 17 Jun 2011

Megane Renaultsport 265 Trophy and the Nurburgring crew First we get the news that Renault has pushed out a limited edition Megane Renaulsport – the Megane Renaulsport 265 Trophy with a slightly tweaked and titivated version of the Megane Renaultsport 250 – and now we get the follow-up publicity with the claim of a new Nurburgring record for the brisk Megane. This isn’t a record that’s quite as daft as some of the records that are claimed for the Nurburgring (there almost seems to be a specific category of ‘Record’ time to fit every car maker’s needs), but it does seem a bit obscure. It’s the Nurburgring record for the fastest production front wheel drive car.

Mercedes SLC (a ‘Baby’ SLS) confirmed. Again

Thu, 26 Apr 2012

Mercedes SLC confirmed once more Mercedes big-wigs have been discussing future plans for AMG and have confirmed production of the Mercedes SLC – a baby SLS. It’s always nice to speculate on new cars to come from interesting car makers, and in the case of Mercedes we’ve been actively playing the baby SLS game – a Mercedes SLC – since 2009. What we need to remember is that the SLS – and any SLC to come – is not really a Mercedes, it’s an AMG.

Hyundai Curb Concept at Detroit

Fri, 07 Jan 2011

Hyundai Curb Concept - on show at Detroit Whatever your opinion about Hyundai - and Kia, for that matter – we’d bet that it’s changed in the last few years. From dismissing Hyundai as the Lada for our age, you’ve probably come to accept, as have we, that they are churning out cars that deserve a place in the market. Hyundai’s offerings may not be up your street – you may prefer something with a posher badge – but what’s on offer with Hyundai’s latest models does need to be considered alongside much of the best from Japan, if you’re looking to buy in that market.
