This hood crest is vintage and an original German made piece for Volkswagen and dates back to the 1950's. The shield is fire enameled cloisonne. The colors are vibrant. All four fingers on the mounting tabs are present and intact. Both pieces are German original vintage parts and are therefore well over 50 years old and do show some age.Overall they are in good condition relative to their age; no structuctural damage.

Nor will it probably surprise you that it doesn’t actually have a 6.0 litre lump lurking under the bonnet as its name suggests. Instead, it has a 5.0 litre V8 and some electrickery in the shape of a pair of electric motors which, in concert with the V8, produce 438bhp, directed to all four wheels through a CVT ‘box.

What we find particulary appealing about the three-pot supercharged Micra DIG-S is that it seems to offer a perfect alternative to the diesel City Car – and with much lower NOx and particulate emissions – but without the penalties in fuel economy normally associated with petrol-engined cars. Not only does it offer economy that compares favourably with a diesel-engined car of a similar size, it suffers no performance penalty either.

This is the new Ener-G-Force, a one-off model depicting a civilian version of a futuristic police car. It's a product of the 2012 Los Angeles Design Challenge, which briefed manufacturers to dream up their vision for a highway patrol vehicle fit for the year 2025.
