Up for auction is a new old stock 1600cc engine case, single relief, Brazilian made, never used. Case was bought new from Claudes Buggies in California about 1982 or so. Case still has the sticky coating on it that it had when purchased. This case will take a stock crank and stock pistons and cylinders. An excellent replacement case for your early Beetle or Karmann Ghia. Please look photos over carefully and ask pertinent questions before bidding. What you see is what you get!!! Thu, 07 Jan 2010The Subaru Impreza WRX STI launches in Japan Subaru has announced a limited run of 400 Subaru Impreza WRX STI 205 which will go on sale in Japan. It won’t please Subaru Impreza nuts in the UK as they’ll get no chance to get their hands on one, but for those in Japan it’s great news. Unlike the rather lame Subaru WRX STI Carbon (or Impreza Pipe & Slippers as we like to think of it), the R205 is hard-core. Subaru has plucked a chunk of bits from the ‘Spec C’ bin to create the R205.
Dave McLellan to be a featured guest at the Corvette Funfest
Tue, 18 Aug 2009Dave McLellan, who presided as chief engineer for the fourth-generation Chevrolet Corvette, will be a featured guest at parts-seller Mid America Motorworks' annual Corvette Funfest in September. The Funfest brings together 14,000 Corvettes and 45,000 Corvette enthusiasts over a three-day weekend at Mid America's campus in Effingham, Ill. The event includes seminars, entertainment and--of course--plenty of Corvettes.
MG Icon concept car at 2012 Beijing motor show
Mon, 23 Apr 2012MG's new Chinese owners showed a Nissan Juke-alike concept car called the Icon at the 2012 Beijing motor show. Its footprint is identical to that of the original MG BT. Although a pure concept car, a spokesman confirmed that the study was a guide to what we could expect from future models from MG.
