2010 LA Design Challenge entrants revealed
Tue, 26 Oct 2010Entries for the 2010 Los Angeles Design Challenge have now been revealed. The futuristic proposals, which called for designers to envision a 1000lbs (454kg) 2+2 vehicle that delivers comfort, safety and satisfactory driving performance without sacrificing the emotional connection today's consumers demand from their vehicles, come from the west coast design studios of seven automakers – General Motors, Honda, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Toyota and Volvo. For the first time since the Challenge's inception, studios outside California have also been allowed to enter the competition.

Mon, 10 Jan 2011Honda showed off two new Civics at the NAIAS 2011: the Civic Si Concept Coupe and the Civic Concept Saloon. They're sadly US-market only, rather than related to the European spec models, themselves up for replacement at the end of 2011. Although 'concepts', these two effectively show what will roll into US showrooms in spring 2011. The blurb is pretty strict on the difference between the American and Euro Civics: 'The Civic Si coupe and saloon Concepts are US-only design and will not be sold in the UK.
New Ferrari F12 Berlinetta unveiled UPDATED
Wed, 29 Feb 2012Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is here It’s the new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta – not the F620 – but it is the replacement for the 599 and heading for a Geneva Debut. After leaks of images and photos of mock-ups what we thought would be called the F620 turns out to be the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Despite the name attached to the leaks of the new F12 being wrong, the photos were pretty much right.
