Vauxhall Promotes ‘Black Box’ Insurance Tech For Young Drivers

CASH-STRAPPED young drivers rejoice – Vauxhall is to offer drivers between 18 and 20 one year’s insurance cover for a one off payment of £99. To qualify you’ll need to opt for one of Vauxhall’s Corsa Excite or Limited Edition models. The car maker is teaming up with insurance provider ingenie, and each car is fitted with ‘black box' technology which monitors driving style, including speed, acceleration, braking and cornering.

Briefs all in for Car Design Awards China 2014

It's exactly a month since the fifth annual Car Design Awards China's launch and we're pleased to announce all the briefs are in. Created to discover the latest crop of Chinese design talent, this year's contest – open to full-time students studying a design discipline of any kind in China – features briefs from Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Geely, JAC, Qoros and UD Trucks. Datsun Go (2014)

Datsun has unveiled its new Go ahead of its release in India early next year. Designed at Nissan's global Design Center in Atsugi, Japan, the Go is the first model to be produced since Datsun's revival as a low-cost brand. The five-door hatchback is expected to be "a category up" in its price range of below INR 400,000 (around $6,700).
