New Range Rover Sport crosses ‘Empty Quarter’ Desert in record time

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

The new Range Rover Sport crosses the ‘Empty Quarter’ Desert in record time We all know that almost every Range Rover Sport sold will never do anything more rugged than crossing a boot sale car park. But that doesn’t stop Land Rover hanging the Sport’s reputation on its ability to go anywhere, and do it more quickly. Porsche hit 2 million friends on Facebook this week, and to celebrate, the company dedicated a car to all of them. The new Porsche Cayman S got a coat of white paint before each friend's profile picture was digitally added to the surface. They're all tinted in red, giving the car a candy-coated look, and the front-plate area reads "100% Porsche, 100% you." Fans also were asked to vote for their favorite historic racing livery.

Ford Mondeo goes green

Sun, 03 Jun 2007

By Ben Barry First Official Pictures 03 June 2007 01:57 New Mondeo spearheads Ford's ramp-up of bio-fuel models Ford announced an expansion in its flexifuel range. Flexifuel allows a vehicle to run on either regular petrol or E85 – an 85/15 percent bio-ethanol/petrol blend – and automatically offsets any carbon emissions produced because more crops are always produced to meet the demand for fuel. Ford president and CEO John Fleming confirmed that the existing Focus and C-Max flexifuel cars would be joined by Mondeo, Galaxy and S-Max derivatives, which will all come on stream from early 2008.
