This eBay listing includes TWO (2) Volvo 240 Station Wagon Tailgate Struts that are brand new and have never been used.

One of them has been opened or torn open during transit, at the warehouse, factory, or something: I did not open it. These are exactly how I received them. You can see in the photos what I am talking about.

I made a mistake of youth. "Haste Makes Waste." I have a Sedan. I bought these by accident. I let them sit around for two weeks, opened the box, noticed one was open, pulled the strut out, looked at it, and realized it is the totally wrong type for my Sedan. I looked closely at my receipt and I had bought two tailgate struts for Volvo 240 Station Wagons. Considering one was open, I am guessing someone else probably made a similar error and returned them... only for me to purchase them for the exact same reason, not paying attention. I am still confused, though, why someone would cut or tear it open considering the cases just snap open, which is why I think it was just a factory or transit defect.

I procrastinated past the return policy so, hello eBay! :-)

Hopefully a proud Volvo 240/260 Series STATION WAGON owner needs these and can help me recover the losses resulting from my mistake. ;-)

One Lap of the Web: Barn-find Packards, a vintage Skyline racer and ultra-rare Ford Torino Talledegas

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

-- Who doesn't love a good barn find from time to time? Here's a 1929 Packard Model 633 Runabout stashed in a shed in the Adirondacks for half a century that, in true Cinderella fashion, went on to win best in show after a bit of dusting off. Heartwarming.

Encouraged by healthy U.S. demand for diesel-powered versions of the A3 hatchback and Q7 crossover, Audi will add diesel powerplants to the A8 and A6 sedans and the Q5 crossover within the next 24 to 30 months, Audi of America Inc. president Johan de Nysschen said Tuesday.

Olympian Hoy dreams of racing at Le Mans

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

SIR CHRIS HOY is planning a competitive comeback in 2016, with the Le Mans 24 hours race the target rather than the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. The 38-year-old is Britain's most decorated Olympian with six gold medals, including two at London 2012, and has won 11 world titles. He announced his retirement in April 2013, but his passion for motor racing and competition will be fulfilled after agreeing a deal with Nissan, which will see him compete in the 2014 British GT Championship.
