Chris Bangle resigns as BMW Group Design Director

BMW today announced that Chris Bangle is resigning from his position as Head of Design for the BMW Group. Bangle will be handing over his post to current Head of BMW Automobile Design, Adrian van Hooydonk, when he leaves the company to pursue his own design-related endeavors outside the auto industry. Bangle has worked closely with van Hooydonk at BMW Group Design Development for nearly 17 years.

Based GM's Kappa platform, the Beira features new front and rear body sections made from lightweight composites instead of steel. CAR WORKERS and mechanics are the most physically active staff, taking regular exercise more than three times a week, according to a new study. Employees in leisure and tourism were ranked second. A survey of 2,000 workers by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to mark its cycling campaign, found that mechanics did some form of physical exercise more than four times a week.
