In the 1970s alarm bells were ringing in the energy sector as a series of energy crises and rising fuel prices spiralled. The car industry was forced to produce a new generation of more efficient cars and designers were putting new models through wind tunnels to optimize their aerodynamic performance to reduce aerodynamic drag. General Motors is recalling 50,500 copies of the 2011 Cadillac SRX crossover because the front-passenger airbag does not work as outlined in the owner's manual. The recall affects 47,401 vehicles in the United States, with the remainder in Canada and Mexico. GM said there are no reports of crashes or injuries related to the issue.Wed, 14 Sep 2011
Cover your ears, Corvette lovers--the 1969 Camaro is the best Chevrolet of all time, according to Chevy fans. As part of its centennial celebration, Chevy asked fans to vote online for their favorite vehicle from the marque's 100-year history. Nearly 125,000 people voted, and the Camaro edged out the 1970 Chevelle SS in the final round of the four-round elimination contest.
