Volvo TAMD 70C 270HP turbocharged diesel marine engine. This engine was used in a recreational dive boat. It developed a knock on 10 June 2016 and was found to have lost compression in cylinder #5. There is no water in the oil and no oil in the cooling system. I pulled the injectors out of cylinders #2, #3, #4 and #5, then put an inspection camera into the cylinders. All but #5 looked perfect. I could not see the damage in #5 clearly, but I could see debris, so since I needed the boat back in service quickly, I replaced the engine. This engine was running great up until this problem. I have owned it since 2012. I changed the oil and filters every 100 hrs and it has never used a drop of oil. I serviced the heat exchanger last summer and cleaned every inch of the cooling system.

The Twin Disc MG 506 1.5:1 transmission functions perfectly. Great transmission, smooth as butter on a hot day. I would have used it with the new engine, but I needed a 2:1 trans.

The engine and transmission are exactly as represented. Come and inspect here in Sebastian, FL 32958 and ask all the questions you like. Since this engine is for parts- all sales are final on a parts engine. No warranties, express or implied.

This engine/transmission weighs somewhere between 2500 and 3000 lbs. Local pickup only.
