Thank you very much for shopping at my ebay store " A Really Good Thing." :) I really appreciate your business! :)
I want you to have a pleasant buying experience on ebay. :)
All items are hand picked by "Vintage Girl" ( the a1webguy is an old ebay account that seems silly to change now that I have a reasonable amount of stars.)
Most items are vintage or antique and show signs of normal use and wear. I try to photo and point out any detracting flaws.
Please be sure to READ THE DESCRIPTION as some flaws don't show up well in photos.
I answer emails 1-3 times per day and am always here to help answer your questions or help you with your purchase/items.
SHIPPING: I ship in 24 hours whenever humanly possible. I ship PRIORITY whenever your shipping cost covers Priority.
If shipping is "FREE" then I still ship Priority if the cost is just a little more than Standard. For large or heavy items to Pacific Coast or Mountain I may ship standard post.
I try to "SUPER PACK" TO PROTECT YOUR ITEMS DURING SHIPMENT- I hardly ever have damaged items.
I want to get your nifty items to you as quickly as I can.
IT IS ALWAYS OK TO MAKE AN OFFER ON FIXED PRICE LISTINGS.
As I am not an automaton or a large conglomerate I would really appreciate if you respond to any counter offers. :)
I WILL SHIP MOST ANY ITEM TO PRETTY MUCH ANY COUNTRY and have shipped many items to Australia, Japan, Sweden, Germany and Russia.
You can just email if you need more shipping info.
I AM HAPPY TO SHIP TO APO OR MILITARY ADDRESSES AND OVERSEAS. I have lived overseas, I know how nice it can be to get things from home. :)
LARGE FURNITURE ITEMS: I ship larger furniture items ( dining room tables and chairs, lounge chairs, dressers, etc) via Greyhound as they have a great record of NOT HARMING furniture items and no conveyor belts are involved so your item doesn't flip around a bunch of times. It's more work but probably well worth it so your Mid Century / Danish Modern or Antique item arrives to you safe and sound. :)
YOU CAN ALWAYS ARRANGE TO SHIP IT BY FREIGHT.
YOU CAN ALWAYS PICK UP ITEM LOCALLY FOR NO SHIPPING OR HANDLING CHARGE.

I will hold items if you want to buy them and then drive up from New York City or wherever and save on the shipping.
I will deliver most large items for $200 to most of New England, New York City , New Jersey which is sometimes less than, for example, what it would cost to ship a set of dining room chairs.
PAYMENT: Payment is expected in 72 hours ( 3 days) unless you email me and make other arrangements. Sooner is always appreciated. :)
REFUNDS: In the unpleasant event that something breaks during shipment- just send me photos and I will send you a refund. No problem. Occasionally I may still want the item returned and reserve the right to ask you to send it back.
If you are unhappy with an item, just contact me, doesn't happen often but communication resolves these things.
I have a 14 day refund policy. You would need to pay for return shipping.
PLEASE READ THE LISTINGS. I describe things very well I don't want you to be "surprised" when you get an item. I want you to get what you expected ( or better.)
FEEDBACK: I really appreciate getting feedback. Especially on bigger items as then I know they arrived all safe and sound. :)
If you have a problem, please contact me. I try to be super fair and reasonable.
I am here to find what I think are cool and nifty items that are hopefully nostalgic of your childhood or some other pleasant time
and get them to you right away and make a living doing so. (OK getting to Paris is still on my bucket list tooo)
Communication resolves nearly all if not all problems- so I am here to help and wil do what I can to make you purchase a pleasant one.
Telling your friends and family who may be looking for vintage, antique and mid century items is always appreciated.:)
Thanks again for shopping at my store and have a great day!

Honda CR-Z Mugen Concept at Goodwood FoS

Thu, 17 Mar 2011

Honda CR-Z Mugen Concept - FoS Debut We all know that Honda doesn’t really have its heart in the hybrid game, believing that hybrids are, at best, a stop-gap solution. But in the real world Honda can’t afford to ignore Toyota’s huge hybrid successes, so we got treated to the Honda Insight – a fairly woeful attempt at a hybrid. Next up from Honda was the CR-Z – which we were to believe would be spiritual successor to the CR-X – which did at least try to inject some fun in to the feeble hybrid setup with a manual ‘box.

Mercedes signs joint venture to build carbonfibre parts

Mon, 24 Jan 2011

Not to be outdone by BMW’s joint venture with the SGL Group to manufacturer commercially viable carbonfibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) for the electric Megacity Vehicle, Mercedes has announced a joint venture with Japanese company Toray Industries to manufacturer and market its on CFRP automotive parts. The deal was signed in Germany today, with Toray taking a 50.1% stake, Daimler holding 44.9% and the remaining 5% being taken by other shareholders. The two companies started working together in March 2010, and while Toray has been working on the materials and moulding processes, Merc has designed the automotive parts and the technologies to join the parts together.
