The new BA200 from Water Witch, is a hybrid panel combining all the best features from our technology. With a built in alarm, the BA200 is not only a bilge pump monitor but also a counter and control. In one panel, the captain can easily monitor the bilge or with the touch of a button, engage the pump. With 3 built in modes, Auto, Alert and Manual, you chose how you want the control to respond.

Counter– The BA200 keeps a 2 week history of pump cycles and displays a grand total, followed by how many times the pump cycled in the past 24 hours, 7 days and 14 days. Also, the BA200 tells whether power has been interrupted by flashing the display indicating the count for that time period may not be valid.

Alert Mode– The default mode when first powered. The water sensing light illuminates once water has been detected for more than 6 second eliminating the false alarms or incorrect bilge counts. If water is detected for more than 2 minutes, the audible alarm will sound. The Bilge Pump WILL NOT start automatically and must be engaged manually.

Auto Mode– When engaged, the Auto button illuminates. When water is detected, the pump instantly starts and the pump count total is displayed. Audible alarm signals after 2 minutes of continuous operation.

Manual Mode– Pressing the pump on button engages the the bilge pump. The button lights up indidcating that the pump is running and will need to be turned off. There is no audible signal in manual mode. The Mute button will silence the audible alarm but the button will continue to flash as a reminder. If an alarm condition is not resolved after 7 minutes, the Monitor will unmute and continue to sound the audible alarm.

MG6 Launch revives Morris Garages moniker

Sun, 22 Nov 2009

The new MG6 gets badged 'Morris Garages'. Life has not been easy over the last few years for MG. Or should I say what remains of MG after the debacle of the ‘Phoenix Four’ who took over MG Rover from BMW for a token £10 – and £425 million in working capital to boot – and set about selling off the rights to MG to the Chinese in the form of SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation).

Wed, 10 Aug 2011

Subaru will show its new Qashqai rival, the XV, at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. Not that you would have guessed it from this frustrating teaser sketch issued today. Parent firm Fuji Heavy Industries confirmed the Subaru crossover will be shown on 13 September at the IAA German show - five months after the concept waded in at the 2011 Shanghai show.

Honda Jazz / Honda Fit recall – faulty electric window switch

Sat, 30 Jan 2010

Honda is recalling the Jazz/Fit to replace faulty electric window switches It’s not exactly on the scale of the Toyota recall for a sticking throttle, but nevertheless the announcement by Honda that they are recalling almost 650,000 (MY 2002-2008) Honda Fits (that’s the Honda Jazz in the UK) around the world is another blow to a Japanese car maker just as the worst of the auto industry woes of the last year or two seem to be easing. The European Honda Jazz recall seems only to affect RHD cars, so it looks like it’s just the UK that needs a fix to the master window switch on the driver’s door on 171,00 models here. If the window gets left open for long periods – or if there are long periods of heavy rain – water can get in to the switch and cause it to malfunction and, at worst, catch fire.
