Used "left handed" choke mechanism for the DCOE and IDF carburettors. These are no longer available as new spare parts, unlike the "right handed" version that pulls the other direction. This one is an original from a Ferrari 400 38DCOE110 carburettor, and were also used on Ferrari 365's with DCOE Webers. The lever is flat, unlike most other choke mechanisms that have a "dogleg" lever. Perfect working condition, no broken or bent tabs, just needs paint removal and clean up. (I have some 38DCOE carbs if anyone is interested)

Record expected for Auto Union sale

Wed, 07 Feb 2007

By James Mullan Motor Industry 07 February 2007 09:21 A rare 1939 Auto Union Type D grand prix car is tipped to tear up the record books this month when it goes under the hammer – for an estimated price of up to £7.8 million. Auto Union developed the Type D racing car with a mid-mounted 3.0-litre 12-cylinder engine; in 1939, it was modified with the addition of a twin supercharger, increasing power 420bhp to 460bhp – enough for a top speed of 205mph. This particular car won the French and Yugoslavian Grand Prix in 1939, but at the end of the Second World War it was transported from East Germany to the former Soviet Union by Russian occupation forces as spoils of war.

BMW X3 Review & Road Test If you’re going to pontificate on a subject – in this case, pen a BMW X3 Review – it’s probably best to declare any prejudices and preconceptions up-front. So before starting to deliberate on BMW’s new X3 – in this case the entry-level BMW X3 xDrive20d SE – I need to declare that firstly, unlike many who review cars for a living, I ‘get’ the whole softroader thing. And secondly, I thought the original BMW X3 was truly awful.
