The Toyota FT-1 sure does look like the Bertone Mantide
Thu, 16 Jan 2014We really liked the Toyota FT-1, which caught us off guard in the best possible way when it emerged at the Detroit auto show. In fact, we liked Toyota's “spiritual pace car” enough to call it the most fun new thing on the floor -- and we're hoping the automaker's execs take notice. In keeping with the 2015 MCD Theme of Drive Your Passion: Engaging Senses, Soul and Emotion, this year's panel discussion focused the importance of passion in vehicle design in the high-tech, highly-constrained future. Hosted on 7 May 2014 at the Detroit Athletic Club, over 80 people attended the APA members-only event sponsored by Michelin Challenge Design.
Jaguar XK 2010/2011 Upgrades – Ultimate XKR Special Edition
Wed, 17 Feb 2010The 2010 Jaguar XKR - with all the options With the Geneva Motor Show just two weeks away, Jaguar has decided to roll out some upgrades to the Jaguar XK range and take the XKR further in to Supercar territory with the addition of two new options – the Speed Pack and the Black Pack. The car Jaguar will be taking to Geneva has both the new option packs fitted and is being billed as the Ultimate Jaguar XKR Special Edition. The info from Jaguar is slightly confusing, as it looks as if US buyers can opt for the fully loaded ‘Jaguar XKR Special Edition’ but UK and European buyers will need to specify both the new Speed and Black packs on a standard XKR to achieve the same end.
