Wells RB962 Distributor Cap     Item Description The Wells Vehicle Electronics distributor cap receives high secondary current from the rotor and the coil; each ignition wire is connected to the cap and those wires complete the current path to the spark plug. When it is not replaced, the towers on the distributor cap will either oxidize or corrode, creating a high secondary resistance which can result in rotor and ICM (Ignition Control Module) failure, reduced mileage, CEL (Check Engine Light) illumination, catalytic converter failure or a failed emission test. Wells Vehicle Electronics distributor caps are designed to meet or exceed Original Equipment (OE) specifications in form, fit and function. After all, the current Lotus Elise has been with us for a decade and will be a rather long-in-the-tooth model by the time Lotus turns up with this replacement in 2015. Although the new Lotus Elise will be the closest to Colin Chapman’s vision of a real Lotus, it will be a bit on the pricey side, with prices starting at around £40k.

Fri, 01 Oct 2010As the doors closed to the press at the Mondial de L'Automobile in Paris, the world's top designers and automotive journalists gathered at the nearby Palais des Congrès d'Issy to watch a new generation of designers celebrate success at the 2010 Interior Motives Design Awards. Never before has the automotive industry been in greater need of fresh perspectives and innovation, and the students gathered here tonight provided both in spades - perhaps none more so than Kosin Voravattayagon of Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design, who walked away from the event with the Interior Motives Student Designer of the Year 2010 title and prize money totalling $5,000. Themed ‘Driving the Interior Revolution', this year's contest attracted entries from an incredibly diverse range of schools and nationalities - from Israel and Iran, to Slovakia and South America.
