Product details: This package contains everything you need when you use a RACEceiver Transponder. Individual Rechargeable Transponder, Charging Unit and Pro Mounting Pouch. Charge your Transponder, mount it to your car and you are ready to go!

Each RaceCEIVER Westhold Transponder has a unique serial number which identifies exactly which competitor is crossing the start/finish line or any other timing point on a course. The Race Manager PC software displays this data which can then be sent to scoreboards, handheld devices, the Internet or locally networked computers. Rechargeable - 7 day on time. Fast recharge (max 3 hours, typical 1 hour). Transponders are quickly charged with the convenient charging cradle. Max charge time is approximately 3 hours. Typical charge time is approximately 1 hour. LED lights on the transponder indicate full charge while in the charging cradle. When removed from the cradle the transponder green LED indicates approximate number of days of life left (up to 7 days). A red LED indicates when the transponder charge has less than 1 day remaining.

NOTE:  This transponder is compatible ONLY with WESTHOLD TIMING SYSTEMS.  There are 2 companies that control most of the timing systems in circle track racing, WESTHOLD and MYLAPS.  Please make certain BEFORE you purchase that your track(s) use the WESTHOLD (YELLOW) transponders.  Please feel free to ask questions!

F1 Budget Cap – No two-tier system says Ecclestone

Sun, 17 May 2009

Bernie Ecclestone says there will be no two-tier system in the F1 budget cap row [ad#ad-1] All eyes have gone off the stunning start to this year’s F1 circus with the news that Ferrari, Renault, Red Bull and several other teams have threatened to quit F1 next year in protest at the budget cap proposal and the two-tier system that appears to create. In a nutshell, the FIA – lead by Max Mosley – has imposed a £40 million cap on F1 team expenditure for next year (excluding driver costs, marketing costs and transport), but has said that teams who don’t adhere to the cap can still compete, but will be handicapped. Not surprisingly, the richer teams have objected and, on the face of it, it starts to look as if F1 as we know it is going to bite the dust.

Volvo Group plans wirelessly charged bus line

Tue, 20 May 2014

There's one bit of futuristic transportation technology that seems to get trotted out almost as often as autonomous cars, electric cars and flying cars: Inductive, or wireless, charging for city buses. It's not as sexy or as memorable as the perpetually out-of-reach commuter-grade Harrier jet, but it uses proven technology (GM's EV-1 uses inductive charging, as do electric toothbrushes) to save or eliminate fuel and to reduce emissions. And unlike the flying car, induction-charged buses are hardly fantasy: They've been used in European cities for over a decade, South Korea started testing a fleet last year and Utah got in on the act recently.

Mercedes C63 AMG facelift (2011) first pics

Mon, 07 Feb 2011

This is the new 2011 Mercedes C63 AMG, a facelifted version of the three-pointed star’s hot rod family saloon. Nope. The power and torque outputs remain unchanged, because under the bonnet is still the same 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 as before.
