Sun, 06 Oct 2013All 7 generations of the Porsche 911 (pictured) ‘sing’ Happy Birthday Car makers do like to make the most of any anniversary they can hang a bit of PR on, and Porsche are no different. 2013 is the 50th anniversary of the, now iconic, Porsche 911 and Porsche has been making PR hay all year with everything from a 50th anniversary 911 to a huge gathering of Porsche 911s at the Silverstone Classic. But now, with just a few months of the 911′s anniversary left to milk the PR, Porsche has put together a video featuring all seven generations of the 911, happily wishing themselves a ‘Happy Birthday’.
Skoda Octavia Hatch GreenLine arrives offering 88.3mpg – price from £20,150
Mon, 20 Jan 2014Skoda Octavia Hatch GreenLine (pictured) promises 88.3mpg Even though official economy figures from car makers are, at best, disingenuous, they still serve, to a degree, and an indicator of a car’s relative economy. So the arrival of the Skoda Octavia Hatch GreenLine in Skoda’s UK showrooms with official economy figures of 88.3 mpg and emissions of just 85g/km, makes it an appealing offering for cost conscious private and fleet buyers. The Octavia Greenline Hatch looks pretty much the same as any other Octavia, so you won’t be driving a car that shouts ‘I’m a cheapskate’, but you will get extra eco stuff like low rolling resistance tyres on 16″ Velorum alloys to give you the best chance of getting close to the official economy figures.
Citroen C4 Cactus (2014) first official pictures
Wed, 05 Feb 2014By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 05 February 2014 19:00 Well done to Citroen: its arch-funky Cactus crossover concept has makes it into production unscathed, ‘Airbumps’ and all. The production version’s called the Citroen C4 Cactus as it’s based on the C4 hatch, but it’s had the funk turned up to 11. If you’re arriving this late to the compact crossover party, you need to make a splash – good job the new C4 Cactus is head-turning enough to cause the Nissan Juke and Ford EcoSport nightmares.
