Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Tesla CEO Elon Musk told Bloomberg TV on Monday that the recent negative New York Times review of the Model S sedan decreased the company's stock-market value by as much as $100 million. The NYT-Tesla saga began on Feb. 8 with reviewer John Broder recounting the tale of how he was stranded when the Model S didn't live up to its 300-mile claimed range.

Record Breaker Roars Again

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

WEDNESDAY 29th January will go down in history as the day Sir Malcolm Campbell’s record breaking 350hp Sunbeam was fired up and heard in public for the first time in over 50 years. The historic event followed a complete rebuild by the National Motor Museum’s workshop team. As the brainchild of Sunbeam’s chief engineer and racing team manager, Louis Coatalen, the car was constructed during 1919 and early 1920 and power came from an aero engine, a type used on naval seaplanes.

Vygor Opera .2 – just as ugly as the first Vygor & €140k

Wed, 09 Nov 2011

Vygor Opera .2 - a second take on the new crossover from Italy Last month we reported on the Vygor Opera, a new ‘car’ from Italy which we thought looked like a cross between a 5-Series GT, Subaru and an X6, but after a dose of ugly pills. So when we got an email in to say there’s a second version of the Opera – catchily named the Vygor Opera.2 – we thought Vygor must have bucked up their ideas from the first Opera and employed someone with a proper Italian flair for design. No such luck.
