New Delta Integrale to spearhead Lancia's UK return

With its turbocharged four-cylinder engine sending power to all four wheels, the Rally-bred Integrale established the formula so successfully exploited by the Mitsubishi Evo and Subaru Impreza STi. Lancia will fight back with a reborn Delta Integrale around 2008, paving the way for the marque's arrival back in the UK market.

Exclusive: Phil Zak appointed Chief Designer at Hyundai America (updated)

Phillip A Zak will become the new Chief Designer at Hyundai's North American Design Center in Irvine, California, filling the role previously held by former GM designer Joel Piaskowski who left Hyundai to become Head of Advanced Design at Mercedes-Benz's North American Design Center in January of this year. Zak joins Hyundai from his previous role as head of exterior design at GM Europe - a post he has held since August 2007 - and will work in parallel to European Chief Designer Thomas Buerkle (who worked at BMW before joining the Korean automaker), developing vehicles for the North American market. Chevrolet updates Impala logo

Chevrolet has announced that its 2014 Impala will feature a redesigned emblem as the latest evolvement of the range's African antelope logo. The Impala model is one of only two vehicles – the other being the Corvette and its crossed-flags – in Chevrolet's range to have its own exclusive symbol, and thus it has been upgraded to complement the design of the latest model. Joann Kallio, lead creative designer for Chevrolet global badging, says, "We kept the stylized interpretation of the animal, and made the impala more muscular.
