Degler's 2015 calendar pays tribute to Cuba's unique automotive landscape

The 2014 Degler calendar mounted on the wall of the Car Design News office serves up a nicely-shot image of one of Bertone's significant concepts each month. But next year's calendar has taken an altogether different direction: 'Carros de Cuba - a tribute to the cars that have survived over half a century on the island thanks to the inventiveness of the Cuban people.' The Degler calender is the work of automotive photographer Piotr Degler Jablonski. For the 2015 edition, he spent a month traveling across the island of Cuba, meeting mechanics and car enthusiasts and documenting the eye-catching automotive landscape.

By Ben Pulman Motor Shows 03 December 2008 10:20 Volkswagen used today’s Bologna motor show to unveil its Mk2 Golf Plus, the third Golf model (after the three- and five-door hatchbacks) to get Wolfsburg’s latest looks. That new nose is indeed the obvious change. The headlamps, now with daytime running lights, receive a little nip on the inner edges and the two-bar grille is now in high-gloss black.

In the eleventh hour of Roger Penske's venture to acquire Saturn from General Motors Co. to keep the brand alive, Renault's executive committee in France concluded, “Ca fait deux.” Rough translation: “It's not going to come together.” Despite Penske's statements that his organization had been in discussions with automakers around the world, ultimately his hopes had been pinned on only one: Renault SA. Penske and Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn are friends and talk frequently.
