We’re already nearly halfway through Series 18 of Top Gear, with episode 3 on tonight. And so far, so good; the daftness is still there, but a lot less puerile than other recent Top Gear stuff, and some properly good car stuff too.
Porsche Boxster growing to make room for small two-seater, report says
Mon, 16 Aug 2010The next-generation Porsche Boxster will get a longer wheelbase and measure nearly 173 inches long overall, British magazine Autocar says on its Web site. Why is the Boxster growing? To create room at the bottom of the Porsche lineup for a new two-seater based on the Volkswagen BlueSport concept shown at the Detroit auto show in 2009, the report says.

Sat, 17 Jan 2009The first thing that hits you driving over the hundreds of miles of desert on the way to see the monster Scottsdale classic and collector car auctions every January is the HUGE number of motor homes scattered willy nilly all across the sand and rocks like dice. Every winter Arizona sprouts fields of Winnebegos and Hitchhiker IIs like big, rectangular wildflowers, only less pretty (Not counting the requisite lion and dolphin murals airbrushed on the backs, what are those about, anyway?). Can snowy winters in Saskatchewan really be that bad?
