I'm really going to miss Chris Economaki, who died this morning around midnight, 91 years young. Elsewhere on this site, you'll find writer Leo Levine's excellent tribute to Chris. In it, he pays compliments to Chris such as “he left a hole in the motorsports firmament that can never be filled.

Suzuki G70, Swift Range Extender at 2012 Geneva motor show

You will not find too many detractors when it comes to the Swift, particularly in its Sport guise, but its clean-living brother was one of the two highlights on the Suzuki stand. The rather convolutedly-named Range Extender was actually first shown at Geneva in 2010, but has since undergone further development. More interesting is the G70.

Lexus confirms plans for baby IS

Speaking to the German media, European company MD Tadashi Arashima told reporters: 'We will offer a Lexus in the compact class'. He explained that Lexus needed 'smaller and more efficient vehicles' in the face of European CO2 regulations.
