Google reveals its first self-driving car prototype (video)

Wed, 28 May 2014

Google’s first self-driving car prototype (pictured) Google might not be the first company that springs to mind as a car maker, but Tesla has already proved that Silicon Valley can produce a car that buyers want and Google are intent on following a similar route. But where Tesla’s USP is its long-range electric capabilities – and a desire to build cars for the market – Google’s goal is more technology orientated and is all about developing self-driving car technology that works in the real world. Fri, 21 Mar 2014

PETROL PRICES are at a three-year low, with Yorkshire and Humberside remaining the cheapest area, according to figures from the AA. But the good news for drivers is offset by a real-terms dip in earnings which has pushed wages back to 2002 levels adjusting for inflation, the AA added. Petrol forecourt prices across the UK averaged 129.46p a litre in mid March compared to 129.63p in mid February.

Paul Walker to be recreated through CGI for 'Fast & Furious 7'

Mon, 24 Mar 2014

Paul Walker's character will make an appearance in the next "Fast & Furious" film thanks to scenes filmed before his death and computer-generated doubles of the actor. Several sources are reporting that at least four body doubles of Walker have also been involved in the film's ongoing production since filming resumed in late January, after several weeks of evaluations and rewrites by the studio. Approximately half of the photography involving Walker's character, Brian O'Conner, had been shot at the time of Walker's death in Porsche Carrera GT alongside Roger Rodas, his friend and business partner, over Thanksgiving weekend in November of 2013.
