SRT Viper GTS-R takes to the track

The boys from SRT put a few hot laps on its 2013 Viper GTS-R on Friday in preparation for running with the American Le Mans Series. Team wheelman Marc Goossens was behind the wheel at the 2.279-mile, 14-turn Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, S.C. Ford sends Mustang, Edge to Europe

Ford plans to export the Mustang to Europe, and it will likely be the next generation of the famous pony car due within a couple of years. It has also shown redesigned compact and full-size vans it will sell in the United States by 2014. The automaker also showed a lightly restyled Fiesta and a high-performance ST model that go on sale in Europe later this year.

Here's the image that has the Web abuzz today--an apparent brochure scan of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL distributed by a European automotive site. Design cues reminiscent of the SLS AMG are unmistakable, and the new SL also takes on a fairly prominent iteration of the corporate front fascia. Underneath, Mercedes is promising a new aluminum architecture that will save weight while boosting rigidity.
