Ferrari 599 Hybrid – it’s a very ‘Green’ Ferrari
Sat, 27 Feb 2010The very green Ferrari 599 Hybrid at Geneva To a die-hard petrol head, Ferrari lover or frankly anyone with a proper sense of right and wrong, the idea of a ‘Green’ Ferrari is anathema. Fortunately, although I suppose you could consider the Ferrari 599 Hybrid ‘Green’ in the sense that it will probably produce less CO2 (which is, of course, the single most important thing for Ferrari), the performance of this 599 Hybrid is going to be its forte, and the real green bit on this particular 599 Hybrid is the hideous paint job. If in fact Europe is still struggling in some ways to recover from the recession, it sure didn't look that way at the Geneva motor show: The Swiss show was out of neutral and had the hammer down.
Aston Martin and AMG confirm partnership on new V8 engine
Thu, 19 Dec 2013Aston Martin and AMG working on new V8 engines The collaboration deal between Aston Martin and AMG has moved to another level with the announcement that the two companies are working on a new V8 engine for Aston Martin. Aston Martin and AMG signed a letter of intent in July to kick off their technical partnership, and the news the companies are working together on a new V8 engine – which will probably first be seen in a new V8 Vantage – is the first fruits of the deal. A statement from AML and AMG said they are planning to expand their agreement to work on sharing electronic components and will “investigate additional areas of operation”.
