Daimler and Renault-Nissan strike a global partnership
Wed, 07 Apr 2010Daimler today struck a wide-ranging partnership with the Renault-Nissan alliance, in a deal that will usher in new jointly developed cars, shared technologies and a multitude of cost savings. Cars such as the new 2014 Smart Fortwo will now be twinned with the next Renault Twingo, while the Forfour is set for a comeback and we can expect plenty of shared combustion engines and electric motors, borrowed platforms and jointly developed SUV tech across all three parties. And that's only scratching the surface of the possibilities opened up by this wide-ranging deal.

These new photos reveal a mid-engined sports car shadowing the Renault Dezir, but with an Alpine twist. Fri, 02 Jul 2010The Mercedes CL 2011 bow is at Goodwood We had a peek a couple of weeks ago at the 2011 Mercedes CL facelift after a photo of the AMG version leaked out, but Mercedes has decided to get on with the job and have a proper reveal this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. And it this facelift for the Uber-Coupe will keep the CL moniker rather than changing to S Class Coupe as we expected. The big Mercedes Coupe is due in the UK by October and it gets the expected nip and tuck to keep it looking fresh.
